Huijuan Wang was born in Harbin, China. She graduated and received her M.Sc. degree (cum laude) in Electrical Engineering at the Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands, the year 2005. She obtained her Ph.D. degree (cum laude) in 2009 at the same faculty. She is currently a tenured assistant professor in the Multimedia Computing Group at Delft University of Technology. She has been a visiting Professor at the group of Prof. H. Eugene Stanley at Boston University since August 2011 and at Stanford University for the period April-August 2015.
Data driven modelling of dynamic processes such as viral spreading, opinion interactions and cascading failures on interconnected and multi-layer networks.
Targeting Problems: Analysis, Predication and Optimisation of e.g. information/disease/virus propagation and social/financial contagion.
Application domains range from critical infrastructures, technological and social networks, recommender systems, economical systems to brain networks.
